Singer-actress Janelle Monáe opened up abo♎ut her temporary departure from music to Hollywood in February’s edition of .
“I allow ꦆthe universe to rearrange꧑ and reinvent me,” said the 31-year old beauty, who donned a short, layered tutu.
Monáe launched her acting caree𒆙r last year with a bang, appearing in the Oscar- nominated films “Moonlight,” directed by Barry Jenkins, and “Hidden Figဣures,” directed by Theodore Melfi.
The Kansas City, Kan., native, who has been nominated for six Grammy awards, admitted she always thought there was more in store for ꦬheওr than singing.
“I’ve never considered myself to just be a singer,” she said. “I have always considered myself to be an artist and storyteller. I want to continue to tell𒁃 unique, untold and universal stories in unconventional𓂃 ways,” she said.
The⛦ hybrid artist also discovered a newfound passion for technology,ꦗ math, science and engineering after playing a NASA mathematician in “Hidden Figures.”
