Trump’s 17-second handshake with Japanese PM

President Trump got pretty handsy with the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

After the White House meeting on Friday, Trump went in for what may go downź§Ÿ as one of the most painfully long handshakes in recent mšŸŽ‰emory.

The two men graspedĀ hands for precisely 17 seconds — a lifetime in handshake years.

It takes two to handshake, so Trump was not completely at fault, but he did also awkwardly pat Abe’s hand during the interaction.

It should be noted that Abe, for his part, said that he looked forward to showing how the countries’ alliance is “unshakable” before the meeting.

ā€œI would like tā™o clearly demonstrate the unshakable Japan-US alliance to the world,ā€ Aą²Œbe said.

But Abe appeared to be less than comfortable aftšŸŒ er the handshake. See himšŸ’ž recoil here:
