‘Parks and Rec’ alums reuniting for a reality show about crafting

Ron Swanson would certainly approve of the NBC project that’s bringing “Parks and Recreation” co-s꧅tars Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman back together.

The actors will host “The Handmade Project,” a reality competition series focused on craftsmanship, the network announced. In each episode, eight artisans — with specialties like woodwork, quilting, knitting and scrapbooking — will complete a series of projects testing their crafting skills. As hosts, Offerman and Poehler, who starred as Swanson and Leslie Knope on seven seasons of “Parks and Rec,” will provide guidance and the comedic relief throughout the series, which will be shot in a “serene outdoor setting” a la “The Great British Bake Off.”

The six-episode𒊎 series’ premiere date is still to be announced.

Offerman, who, like his curmudgeonly “Parks” character, has ꦑa love of woodworking (he owns a woodshop in Los Angeles and has written a bestselling book on the to🥀pic) gave a perfectly Swanson-esque quote on his involvement: “People who make things are my favorite kind of folk. Practical, clever and terrific in a pinch. That makes me tickled pink to have a front-row seat at this prodigious display of talent, and admiring and cheering on an amazing crop of American makers. Plus, Amy and I have a strong tradition of tomfoolery, so let’s see if we don’t have some good fun.”
