Councilman’s car burglarized in front of his home

A City Councilman’s car was burglarized as it sat parked in front of his Staten Island home, police said Sunday.

Joseph Borelli, a Republican representing the south end of the borough, reported the break-in to police🐼 around 11 a.m. Saturday when he realized someone had stolen his phone and council ceremonial police shield out of his 2015 Dodge Durango during the night or early morning hours.

🙈Police said Borelli had left the vehicle unlocked when he parked the SUV in front of his Shirley Ave. home in🌊 Annadale.

No arrests have been made and po𒉰lice said the incident is still under i𝕴nvestigation.
