Teen killed in gruesome three-car crash on Bronx highway

A teen driver burning rubber on a Bronx highway was killed when he sparked a horrific three-car crash earlļ潚ŸŒŠļæ½y Saturday, cops said.

Carlos Pereyra-Batista, 18, was behind the wheel of his 2002 Honda Accord west on the Cross Bronx Expressway between Third Avenue and the Bronx River Parkway in Tremont around 4:20 a.m. — when he came upon stopped traffic, and suddenly slammed into a 1997 international tractor trailer, cops said.

Batista then lost control of his car — spinning into a guard rail before bouncing off and striking a white Toyota RAV4, according to police.

Batista, of Claremont Village, was pronounced įƒ¦dead on scene, and his 17-year-old male passenger was ršŸ€…ushed to Jacobi Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

The 66-year-old man driving the tractor-trailer driver, and the 29-year-old man at the wheel of the Toyota were not injured and remained on scenešŸ’§.

It wasnā€™t clear whether Batista was intoxicated at thešŸ™ˆ time of the accident, police sašŸ’Ÿid.
