Cops uncovered 97 pounds of marijuana and nearly $1 million in cash at an apartment in Brooklyn — after being invited inside by the tenant, police said.
The stasꦯh was found Friday ni🍌ght inside a residence at 899 Montgomery Street, according to officials.
Inve💜stigators from the Jersey City Police Department had asked the NYPD to aid them in the search for an individual, who was believed to be staying at the apartment, before the bust went do⛎wn.
When officers arrived, a different man answered the door and allowed them to come in — despite there being large amounts of pot sitting around in plain sight, police said.
It didn’t take long for cops to spot the reefer — prompting them to arrest the man and two others who were with him.
Authorities then obtained a search warrant and discovered more cannabis and cash throughout the home.🔯 All in all, they seized $931,000 and the 97 pounds of pot.
Aꦫpartment residents Humphrey Olivo, 36, and Yazmin Olivo, 30, were both𓂃 charged with criminal possession, criminal sale, and criminal use of marijuana.
Jose Pichardo — who was also inside the residence at the time — was slapped with criminal use of drug paraphernalia charges, along with criminal possession and criminal sale of marijuana. The 28-year-old is listed as living in Manhattan.
It’s unclear if he or the Olivos know the person that Jersey City police were looking for.
