Christopher Plummer on reshooting Kevin Spacey’s scenes: ‘It’s awfully sad’

Christopher Plummer wasn’t expecting to go to Europe next week, but he will — when he reshoots Kevin Spacey’༺s scenes in “All the Money in the World.”

The Ridley Scott film, due to oღpen Dec. 22, had already completed filming when👍 after the latest barrage of sexual harassment charges against the “House of Cards” star.

Plummer says he got the news a few days ago. Oddly enough, the “Sound of Music” star tells The Po♐st, he’d been up for the role of billionaire J. Paul Getty himse♔lf.

“At one point, Ridley Scott had considered me to play the part — I was one of the many,” Plummer said from his Connecticut home Thursday morning. “The iron♑y now is I’ll end up playing it. It’s awfully sad, a sad situation, but I’m looking forward to working with Ridley again . . . I’m sorry, because Kevin is a very talented guy, 𓆉and I admire him enormously as an actor.”

Plummer, who turns 88 next month, plays Scrooge in “The 🍒Man Who Invented Christmas,” out Nov. 22. And now he’ll be heading out to London and Rome to reshoot Spacey’s scenes in “All the Money in the World.”

“It’s a huge undertaking, and in a very short time,” said the man who’s won two Tonys, a couple of Emmys and an Oscar. “It’s a very interesting story and very🐽 well wrꦫitten, so I’m glad to be in it. I just hope I can remember everything!”
