Apple’s newest piece of hardware won’t be ready in time for Christmas

Another day,🐷 another delay for a hotly anticipated Apple product.

On Friday, the Cupertino, Calif., company said that its flagship home speaker is no longer on track to hit stꦦores in ti🅷me for the holiday season.

Instead, Apple expects to begin🅘 shipping the HomePod in early 2018.

“We can’t wait for people to experience Ho𒈔mePod,” the tech titan said in a statement, “but we need a little more time before it’s r꧂eady for our customers.”

The HomePod, expected to be priced at $349, was originally supposed to come out in D𝄹ecember, and is being marketed as a high-end smart speaker.

Its high-quality sound is designed to take on competitors like Sonos, while its built-in Siri functionality pits it agains⛎t smart speakers from Amazon and Google.

It’s the company’s first ha🌟rdware launch since the Apple W✤atch.

Recently🅠, delays in the production of the iPhone X caused product shortages in stores. Appꦿle shares were down 0.6 percent on Friday, closing at $170.15.
