Taxpayers to foot bill for city officials’ trip to Florida

Three top city officials are bound for Florida — and tax🦩payers will be picking up the tab.

Comptroller Scott Stringer, Public Advocate Letitia James and Buildings Department Commissioner Rick Chandler left Thursday for Hollywood, Fla., to attend a Building and Construction Trades Council of Greater New York෴ conference, where all three are scheduled to speak.

The bill for Stringer🐲 and his chief of staff, Sascha Owen, came to $1,305.

James, who will be accompanied by her first de🌳puty, Ibrahim Khan, is shelling ou꧒t $1,314.

The cost of Chandler’s trip is not yet known.

Stringer spokesm🎃an Tyrone Stevens said the trip is justജified because his boss will share insights into his “important work.”

James spokeswoman Delaney Kempner said itಞ’s “critical” that construction workers hear from the public advocate.
