Rainbow Apparel Company chief assaulted his 11-year-old son: cops

A Brooklyn clothing chain honcho has been busted for allegedly assaulting his young son, poli⭕ce said Sunday.

Gabriel A. Chehebar, the 44-year-old Director of Caribbean Region for the Rainbow Apparel Company, was♔ arrested at his Gravesend home on East Second Street around 6💟 p.m. Saturday, according to cops.

The child’s mother reported the incident after her 11-year-old son told her his father had repeatedly smacked him in𓆉 the head, police said.

Chehebar was arraigned Sunday on charges of assault, and acting in a manner injurious to child less than 17. He was released without꧙ bail.

As he repeatedly hit the child, he scolded, “You’re going to get your mother’s side of your head out of your brain,” prosecutors said.

His defense attorney, Israel Fried, said that the child’s sister, her friend, and the housekeeper were home and didn’t witness the alleged event.

The man’s pals cited an acrimonious divorce as the source of the allegations.

“In my eyes she is a witch because I am his friend,” a man who identified himself as Ronny told The Post. “She h🙈as a lot of hatred and anger towards him.”

Chehebar’s uncle Joseph Chehebar, runs the company with his son Gabriel𒊎 J. Chehebar who is the vice president of operations at Rainbow Apparel Company, company spokesman Josh Nass said.

According to Nass, Gabriel A. Chehebar is a low-level emp💧loyee with a junior position at the company.

The Chehebar family founded the Brooklyn-based Rainbow Shops retail chain in the 1930s, according to The Real Deal. Today, 🧜they r𒊎un 1,300 stores nationwide.
