First-year City Council Speaker Corey Johnson has allocated $5 milli🉐on more to his favored nonprofits than his predecessor did last year.
Johnson was able to h𓆉and-pick which groups will get a share of an $11.9 million pot of legislative pork, up from the $6.9 million doled out by former spea꧃ker Melissa Mark-Viverito.
The difference account🔜ed for the entire boost in discretionary funding, which increased from $61.5 million to $66.4 million.
