Family defends peace officer involved in ‘baby snatching’ incident

A peace officer suspended for her handling of a Brooklyn mom who got into a tug-of-war with cops over her young son inside a social services office tearfully defended herself, a love🉐d one said.

Tonyin♛ Ramos-Williams has been broken up ab🗹out the Dec. 7 incident with mom Jazmine Headley, her ex, Ray, told The Post on Saturday.

“She said, ‘Why do I have to have this [happen]? 𝓡I did my best. I’ve been working for 15 years there and I have a good record, not a single write-up on my job,’ ” h💃e said.

Ramos-Williams and fellow Human Resources Administration officer Bettina Barnett-Weeks were put on leave for 30 🌸days after the encounter with Headley went viral.

The mom had claimed she was at a SNAP center in Boerum Hill foᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚr four hours with her baby when she sat on the floor, prompting Ram♍os-Williams and Barnett-Weeks to eventually call the NYPD.

Video of Headley clinging to her 17-month-🎃old son as cops tried to take him from her drew condemnation — but only the peace officers have been punished so far.

The pair called the NYPD after Headley allegedly delivered a bruising kick to Ramos-Williams’ shoulder, bit both guards and used the baby as a shield to ke♊ep from getting arrested, the officꦗers claimed.

“They called police because they were worried about the mob attacking them,” Ray said. “They can’t do anything. They aske💖d the client to leave and the client refused to go so they were about to arr𝔍est her but the mob was coming to attack them.”

Ray said Ramos🍌-Williams is staying with relat✃ives to “cool off.”

HRA Commissioner Steve Banks on Friday 🙈called what happened to the 23-year-old Headley “completely unacceptable.”

But Ray says Headley was wrong to resist.

“If she had obeyed the police’s order all this would not have happened,♛” he said.

A🌌nd the cops didn’t get in trouble only because of their “st♛rong union,” Ray went on.

“The 🅷police were the one ones that actually did something,” he said. “Nothing happened to th൩em.”
