Good Samaritan cop gave stranded couple a ride to their wedding

A good Samaritan cop gave a L🦩ong Island couple a lift to their 𓆉wedding Saturday after their car got into an accident on the way to the big day, police said.

Joseph DeMichele and Feliece Terwil♌liger, both 36, were on the way to their nuptials at Town Hall in the Village of Lake Grove, when they were involved in a smash-up on the road around 1:15 p.m.

DeMichele was driving his 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee wesꦺt on Montauk Highway near Plymouth Place in Shirley when a💮nother car made a U-turn in front of it and the vehicles collided, cops said.

No one was hurt, but the Jeep was disabled — leaving the couple and their two kids, Jayden Corriche, 10, and Gianna DeMichele, 5, no way to get to their wedding.

That’s when Suffolk County Police Officer Cody Matthews, who responded to the crash, stepped in and gave them a ride in his police cruiser.

He even acted as an official witness to🐭 their wedding and signed the marriage certificate, police said.
