A Bronx cop is suing the NYPD because he says his job is hell — and🅘 it has nothing to do with the criminals.
Officer Wilfrido Bonilla, 41, says in a new Manhattan federal lawsuit that department higher-ups sexually and physically assaulted him, forced him to perform “humiliating’’ tasks such ⛦as cleaning the bathrooms at Yankee Stadium, and called him the “racial slur” Willy Bobo — all because he’s Dominican and dared to object to the treatment.
“They have it out for minority officers,’’ Bonilla told The Post on Tu🅷esday. And “the minute you complain, that’s the treatmen𒁏t you get.”
Most of the abuse occurred when Bonilla ♍was with the 44th Precinct in Mount Eden, where he started ⛎working in 2016, according to his lawsuit.
The dad of two says that when he once went to get his work phone fixed at 1 Police Plaza, an enraged 44th Precinct Sgt. Jason Assia put him in 🐟a virtual time-out for the rest of his shift.
When Bonilla moved from the spot he was told to stand in to ask for lunch, Assia and fellow Sgt. John Debinadero “dragged💎 him by 💙the arm to the locker room where they both pushed [Bonilla] up against the wall,” the suit claims.
Assia then put Boni﷽lla in a “chokehold’’ while Debinadero kneꦺed him in the groin and the plaintiff became unconscious, he charges.
Bonilla was taken to the hospital and committed for nine days because they lied that he was suicidal, according to the su𒆙it.
He said he also was the only cop in his precinct to𒅌 “regularly” be put on poop duty at Yankee Stadium. In addition, he was ordered by
“Lt. Paul ♏Gaglia” to watch over a parked trash truck for threꦺe hours after his shift ended, the court documents say.
But the✃ abuse didn’t stop there, the suit says. Bonilla was “punitively” transferred to PSA 6 in September 2017, where he claims a peeping-Tom deputy inspector, Victor Salerno, regularly spied on him through a stall crack or underneath the door while Bonilla was using the bathroom, the suit says.
Once, whilꦐe Bonilla was using a urinal, Salerno rubbed “his genitals against [Bonilla’ꦅs] back through his pants,” court documents say.
“I am deputy inspector, what ꦜare you going to do?” Salerno hissed to Bonilla, a🌱ccording to the suit.
The NYPD did n𝓰ot respond to a request for comment.
