And then there were two.
The New England Patriots won the AFC Championship Game on Sunday nig꧙ht to earn a Super Bowl 2019 matchup with ♈the NFC champs, the Los Angeles Rams.
Both conference champions earned their way into the Super Bowl with overtime victories — the Rams 26-23 over the New Orleans Saints in a controversial, officials-aided ending, and the Patriots 37-31 over the Kansas City Chiefs.
When the final game of the NFL playoffs kicks off on Feb. 3 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, it will feature two of the league’s best offenses going head-to-head in what promises to be a high-scoring affair.
New England, led by the tandem of coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady, will be going for its sixth Super Bowl win since 2002, with the Patriots appearing in the big game eight times in🔴 that span.
On the other side, the Rams will be looking at a fourth Super Bowl appearance and first since 2002 — when they lost to the Patriots as the St. Louis Rams. They won their only Super Bowl championship two years earlier, beating the Titans. Coach Sean McVay has found plenty of success while building an offense around running back Todd Gurley and quarterback Jared Goff.
