Joseph Tacopina busted at JFK Airport with brass knuckles

No, really, they’re just for decoration.

Tough-talking attorney Joseph Tacopina was busted at JFK when he tried to pass through security with brass knuckles — and he later claimed to The Post it was merely a “paperweight.”

Tacopina, 51, was arrested by Transportation Security Administration staff shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday at John F. Kennedy International Airport for “possession of a weapon” — for having the metal knuckles 𝐆in a carry-on bag while trying to get thrꦬough a security checkpoint, Port Authority Police and TSA spokeswomen confirmed.

“His carry-on bag was flagged for additional screening by the TSA officer who was staffing the X-ray machine for poꦿssible brass knuckles,” s🌜aid Lisa Farbstein, a spokeswoman for the TSA.

The lawyer — who has represented A-list celebrities like Meek Mill and A-Rod — was charged with criminal possession in the fourth degree and w▨as released, a PAPD spokeswoman said.

Tacopina, who🌱 was let go in time to m🦹ake it to his 8:50 p.m. flight to Italy, said the “weapon” was actually a paperweight that was gifted to him.

“It was a gift — ꦿa paperweight that I’ve had for 15 years,” he said. “It’s too big to even fit on a hand.”

“Unbeknownst to me to it was put into that bag.”
