Diane von Furstenberg paints the town with artist Ashley Longshore

When Diane von Furstenberg first met g💝litter-loving artist over tea in London, to discuss a coไllaboration for International Women’s Month, the designer admits she was taken aback by Longshore’s boldness.

“She’s a little bit over the top, but it’s her,” DVF tells Threads. “And she owns it and I love tha✤t. She is very much what I preach: Be the woman you want to be.”

In a mere two weeks, Longsh𓆏ore painted a whopping 37 portraits of exceptional women who have inspired von Furstenberg. (The designer’s𒉰 only request was that Longshore skip her famous sparkly embellishments, so the subjects could dazzle on their own.)

The works will be displayed at the store through May. Longshore, who has🥀 shown her Instagram-famous work at Bergdorf Goodman and whose celeb collectors include Blake Lively, says it was “a dream” to work wit♓h von Furstenberg.

As for her next dream gig? “It’s been on my﷽ goal list for about 20 years to do a collaboration with Louis Vuitton,” says Longshore, who owns roughly 15 LV special-edition bags, including two from the coveted Jeff Koons collab.

“If I can afford it … I f–king buy it,” she says. “That’s the great thing about being a modern woman.”
