Days-old human remains recovered from Brooklyn subway tracks

The NYPD on Wednesday plucked human remains from a Brooklyn train track that are believed to belong to a man hit and killed there two days ago, cops said.

“Small pieces of human remains” were recovered from the elevated F train near the McDonald Avenue and Kings Highway station around noon Wednesday, according to police.

The remains — which police sources described as “bone fragments and tissue” — were discovered by an MTA cleaning crew.

Officials are investigating whether the body parts belonged to a man hit and killed by a subway train near the station on Monday evening, according to cops.

The train’s operator spotted that man on the tracks at around 8:50 p.m. that night, police sources said, adding the man was pronounced dead on the scene and had likely been hit by a previous train.

Sources said his body was recovered without any photo ID.

On Wednesday, investigators were spotted hauling away an evidence bag with a wallet containing a Mexican Consulate ID, but it was not immediately clear the ID belonged to the dead man.

The MTA referred questions to the NYPD.

Cops said the Medical Examiner would determine whether the remains belonged to the man killed Monday.
