An Alabama man was Tased by a police officer after allegedly trying to consume a bag of crystal meth, .
Toney Ray Johnson, 48, was initially approached by a Marshall County deputy who spotted him standing in the middle of the road next to his motorcycle.
Before making one of many drastic decisions, the man appeared to be struggling to start his vehicle, according to the deputy.
The officer approached Johnson, who made a sudden getaway on his bike, leading to a brief police chase.
Johnson was then observed by the deputy attempting to eat a plastic bag of meth.
Steve Guthrie, assistant chief deputy at the Marshall County sheriff’s office, said following a quick struggle, the deputy used a stun gun on Johnson before he could consume the drug.
Johnson was charged with drug possession, resisting arrest and attempting to flee from a law enforcement officer.
He is imprisoned at Marshall County jail and being held on a $12,500 bail.
