Sarah Huckabee Sanders may have skipped Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, but the event was still on her mind.
Speaking at a Trump rally in Green Bay, Wis., the White House🍨 press secretary said, “Last year this night I was at a slightly different eventꦇ. Not quite the best welcome.”
Host Michelle Wolf mercilessly mocked Sanders 🗹at the 2018 dinner for White House reporters a🎃nd celebrities.
“I’m so proud to work for the president,” Sanders said as a smiling ൩Trump looked on from the right side of the stage. While rattling of his✅ accomplishments, she said, “They said there was collusion, and there wasn’t,” drawing loud cheers.
The White House had told administration officials not to attend this year’s correspondents din﷽ner.
A show billed as an alternative to the event, Samantha Bee’s “,” still took shots at Sanders.
It featured a “robot” version of the press secretary who chimed in with labored remarks throughout the night, according to The H🍬ill.
