Who is Cher Hubsher? From ‘My Super Sweet 16’ to ‘sMothered’
Your favorite reality TV star from a decade ago is back, appearing on your new reality TV obsession. No, it’s not Sno🦄oki, or even Lauren Conrad.
It’s Cher Hubsher.
Who’s that again? Well, Cher is now co-starring on TLC’s “sMothered” (Sundays at 10 p.m.), which follows four mother-daughter pairs with extremely close relationships (one pair even sleeps in bed together). But you might recognize her from her 2007 appearance on MTV’s ,” where viewers were first privy to her tight relationship with her mom, Dawn.
So what’s the Florida native been doing between then and now? She followed up “Super Sweet 16” with 2008’s “Exiled,” a reality show involving a trip to the jungles of Panama. She then went to the University of Florida, where she met her husband, Jared.
“We met our freshman year and were college sweethearts, we got engaged at the end of college and t🥃hen married one year later,” says Hubsher, 28. She graduated in 2012 and they got married in 2013. They’ve sinceꦦ moved to New York City, where he’s doing a residency in plastic surgery.
As for what she’s doing? She’s a jack of🤡 all trades. She’s a dating coach, an actress and a registered ღnurse.
“I started out as a psychiatric registered nurse, and I worked for four🐈 years [doing that] in Florida,” she says. “And I saw how a lot of depression and anxiety stems from poor relationship habits. So when I moved to New York City I got life coaching certified and I opened up my own date coaching business called , and I help men and women learn how to navigate the dating scene in New York. It’s a very amazing and rewarding experience.”
She still acts on the side (notable projects include 2016 film “The Amityville Terror”). She also does cosmetic nursing — which is for injectable procedures such as fillers or botox. “I do that one day a week. It’s so much fun, my husband works as a plastic surgery resident and we hope to one day open our own medical spa or something like that,” she says.
But for now, she’s looking forward to a new addition to her household, as she and her husband are expecting. And she’s gearing up for her big return to reality TV, with “sMothered,” which is co-produced by The New York Post.
“People knew who I was when I was 16 years old but a lot has changed,” she says. “I’m excited to share the adult me with the world.”
“sMothered” airs at 10 p.m. Sundays on TLC.
