New York Post proudly marches in Pride parade

Posties got pride!

A contingent of colorful New York Post staffers marched for the very first 𝄹time in the annual Pride parade on Sunday.

Nearly 150 Posties wore rainbow capes with “PRIDE” written in the Post’s signature font and matching T-shirts with “Love has no labels” on the front for the two-mile jaunt through Manhattan.

Proud marchers included reporters Gabrielle Fonrouge, Natalie Musumeci, David Meyer, Joe ജTacopino, as well as Allie Ditkowich from Post Studios, Kristin McNamara from Page Six, online producer Eric Hegedus and photo editor Juan Arellano.

“I have never had gay coworkers before,” said Meyer, who covers transit for The Post. “It’s nice to see my coworkers marching with me, showing up in a place and time where I can feel like myself.”

Tacopino was marching with his transgender son Atticus, wꦇhile Arellano was🉐 with Diego, who is gay.

“I’m proud to be marching in this happy Pride Parade,” said Arellano. “I am nothing but supportive and proud of my son.”

Diego chimed in, “It’s one of the days out of the year that you can visibly see the love in the air.”

The Post was one o🌄f the many sponsors of WorldPride, 🌃dubbed the largest Pride celebrate in the world.

“It’s WorldPride in New York City, it’s the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots and I’m so proud that the New York Post is here making
history,” said Musumeci.

Fonrouge added, “I think it’s nice to work for a company that allows us to be out and proud and support gay rights. I met my girlfriend on the job we have been together for three years.”
