Tiger Woods is on for Medinah after Northern Trust disaster

Tiger Woods said on Tuesday he will try to play in the BMW Championship at Medinah — the second of thr𒐪ee FedEx Cup playoff events.

The Masters champion withdrew from the Northern Trust last week after shooting a rough 75 in the firs🐬t round at Liberty Natio🥂nal with a mild oblique strain.

Woods said he would likely receive treatment on Tuesday, but wouldn’t play a practice round or hit the driving range, . He has a 7:50 a.m. (ET) tee time for Wednesday’s pro-am.

The 43-year-old currently sits at 38 in the FedEx Cup standings. The top 30 advance to 𝓀the Tour Championship, which Woods won last year.

Woods will likely need to finish in the top 11 for a chance to make the field at East Laღke in Atlanta.

Woods has struggled with injuries since winning the Masters in April. Since then, he has played in just five tournaments, including missed cuts at the PGA Championship and 𒀰the British Ope🧜n.

He is scheduled to tee o♛ff in the first round at 12:54 p.m. (ET) on Thursday with Billy Horschel and C.T. Pꦡan.
