One of the three robbers who pulled off a $4 million Midtown jewel heist last month has been nabbed in Florida, officials 𓂃said Tuesday.
Pedro Davila, a Bronx resident, was caught by local cops hiding out in Pasco County — just west of Tampa — on Sunday night, and is expected to face a Florida judge later Tuesday, according to prosecut♊ors at the Southern District of New York.
Davila and two unapprehended accomplices — Jaysean Sutton and a third man, not yet identified — posed as customers as they strolled into Avianne & Co. on West 47th Street, a popular ♋spot with the hip-hop scene.
But the trio quickly pulled guns on the workers, forced one to open the store’s safes, then bound the employees with zip ties and duct tape, according to authorities.
They then piled an estiಞmated $4 million in bling into duffel bags and ran off, officials allege.
Though cops released crystal-clear surveillance footage of the suspects — one of whom was dapperly dressed in a suit and fedora — the thiev𒀰es remained ☂at large since the Aug. 25 hold-up.
Still, justice has caught up to one of the alleged crooks, said William Sweeney Jr., assistant di🐠rector-in-cha💫rge of the FBI, which partnered on the investigation with the NYPD.
“In the day and age of technology and cameras, you would think robbers trying to pull off a cinematic heist would think twice,” said Sweeney. “Their mistakes should be a warning to everyone wanting to be a copycat: You will get caught and pay the price for breaking the law.”
