The Jets may be staring at another injury to a key player.
Running back Le’Veon Bell underwent an MRI exam on his knee on Monday. Jets coach Adam Gase revealed that Bell had been tested that morning but did not yet have the results when he spoke to reporters during a conference call Monday afternoon.
“I don’t want to get too alarmed with Le’Veon without any information,” Gase said. “It could be nothing and he just felt like something didn’t feel right. It could be something else that I’m not even thinking of right now. It’s hard for me to go anywhere with it mentally because I feel like it’s just so gray.”
Bell appeared to be favoring his leg late in the game after getting tackled near the Jets’ own goal line. He twisted for extra yards and looked like he was hurting, but remained in the game.
“I can’t say exactly where it happened because he never said anything to me during the game or said anything after the game, so I’m not really sure the extent of this,” Gase said.
Gase said he has spoken to CB Darryl Roberts about his profanity-laced Instagram posting Sunday night. Roberts ripped Jets fans in the post.
“We are going to handle that internally,” Gase said. “It is really not something that we are looking for any of our guys to do, we addressed it.”
