The wife🌃 of a US diplomat has been charged in a wrong-way crash that killed a British t🌼eenager earlier this year, prosecutors announced Friday.

Anne Sacoolℱas, 42, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving in the crash that killed 19-year-old Harry Dunn in August, , citing a spokesman for the victim’s family.

Sacoolas, the wife of US intelligence officer Jonathan Sacoolas, sparked outrage in the UK after fleeing the country while claiming diplomat♔ic immunity for the fatal wreck near Ro♉yal Air Force Croughton in Northamptonshire.

Sacoolas’ attorney, Amy Jeffress, said in a statement to The Post on Friday that the diplomat’s wife remains “devastated” by the “tragic accident” that killed Dunn — but doesn’t plan to willingly return to the UK to face prosecution.

“Anne would do whatever she could to bring Harry back,” the statement read. “She is a mother herself and cannot imagine the pain of the loss of a child. She has cooperated fully with the investigation and accepted responsibility.”

Sacoolas faces up to 14 years in prison if convicted, which is “simply not a proportionate response” to the incident, Jeffress said.

“We have been in contact with the UK authorities about ways in which Anne could assist with preventing accidents like this from happening in the future, as well as her desire to honor Harry’s memory,” the statement continued. “But Anne will not return voluntarily to the United Kingdom to face a potential jail sentence for what was a terrible but unintentional accident.”

British police interviewed Sacoolas in October about theꦰ crash involving her Volvo and Dunn’s motorcycle on Aug. 27. Those details were later submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service, .

Sacoolas had only been in the UK for three ꧙weeks 🐬at the time of the deadly crash, the Guardian reported.

𒐪Dunn’s parents, Charlotte Charles and Tim Dunn, were overwhelmed with emotion upon learning of the charge against Sacoolas,

“I carried out my promise to one of my kids, the promise that I made that we would get that justice,” Charles said. “I’ve managed to fulfill the promise. It means everything. I would never have been able to rest properly without having been able to carry out💞 that promise I made.”

British officials have insisted Sacoolas doesn’t have immunity because she fled the U🐼K. The Trump administration has refused to extradite her to face charges in Britain.

Dunn’s parents have said they planned to sue Sacool🥃as a𒁃nd the Trump administration over “lawless misconduct” in handling the international incident. The couple also refused to me♔et Sacoolas during their visit to the White House in October.

Trump surprised the pair by telling them the diplomat’s wife was in the next room and ready to meet them, but the grieving couple wanted to organize the meeting on their own accord, according to reports.

“We made it very clear that, as we’ve said all along, we will meet with her and we would still love to meet her but it has to be on our terms and on UK soil,” Charles told reporters in October.

Earlier this week, Sacoolas was spotted publicly in the US for the first time since the crash. She repeatedly declined to answer questions when approached by a news crew.🧜 It’s unclear where Sacoolas was filmed, but she had previously lived in Vien✱na, Virginia.
