NYC could see mix of snow and rain over the weekend

Get ready for slush hour.

A wintry combination of snow and rain is expected to hit the Biওg Apple over the weekend, creating potentially difficult travel conditions, meteorolog🐽ists said Wednesday.

The worst of the 🅘eastern-moving storm will strike Saturday afternoon, dumping 1 to 3 inches of the wet white mess, said AccuWeather senior meteorologist Dave Bowers.

“It could be real slushy in 🐟the city,” Bowers sa✃id. “It’s going to come in as snow, sleet and rain at temperatures just above freezing.”

The snow is expected to pass Saturday night as temperatures plunge t༺o a low of 31 degrees — but New Yorkers may still want to avoid traveling upstate and to parts of northern New Jersey, he said.

“Upstate, it♉’s going to be a major storm, whereas locally it will🔜 be more of a nuisance,” he said, adding showers will be on and off in the evening. “By Sunday it’s going to be largely over.”

The bad weather is going to get a preview Thursday, as a separate storm is expected to stir up🌠 strong wi✃nds up to 30 mph along with gusts up to 50 mph in the city. Overall, the forecast is sunny with a chance of rain and temperatures in the 40s.

Other par🍎ts of the Northeast, including Pennsylvania and Western New York, could be walloped with up to a foot of snow this weekend, say meteorologists.

The snowy forecast comes roughly a week after bizarre springlike weather — including temperatures in the high 60s — gave New Yorkers a pleasant surprise.

Sunday is expected to be partly s🐲unny with a high of 42 degrees.
