Joe Amabile and Kendall Long of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ split

“Grocery Store Joe” Amabile and Kendall Long from 2018’s “Bachelor in Paradise” have broken up.

“We have decided mutually to go our separate ways. Joe has made the decision to move back to Chicago while Kendall will be remaining in her hometown of Los Angeles,” the former couple said in a joint .

This comes only one month after the two 🌜talked about getting engaged in the near future.

“We have [talked about a wedding]. We have a really exciting little surprise we’ve planned for our wedding,” Long, 28, told “.”

“We’ve talked about [engagement]. I don’t think either of us are scared of it … I could see it happening in the somewhat near future,” said Amabile, 33.

Long appeared on Season 22 of “The Bachelor,” attempting to find love with Arie Luyendyk Jr. in early 2018. She was known for being down-to-earth, and for her strange love of taxidermy.

In May of that year, Amabile appeared on the first night of Becca Kufrin’s season of “The Bachelorette.” While he did not receive a rose and was swiftly voted off, the Chicagoan captured the love of fans because he owned a grocery store.

Amabile and Long met on Season 5 of “Bachelor in Paradise” that summer. He moved from Chicago to LA after the show to be with Long, and to compete on “Dancing With the Stars.”

The two share a dachshund named Pistachio.

“Our family and friends have always been an extremely important element to who we are as people. We can’t imagine continuing our lives without them closer, especially when thinking of starting a family of our own one day,” their statement continued. “We both respect each other’s decision and still have a great deal of love for each other. We appreciate all the love and support everyone has given us throughout our relationship.”

As of Wednesday afternoon, neither Amabile nor Long had addressed the split on th🙈eir social mꦕedia profiles.
