Mr. Met to help open Bloomberg campaign office in Queens

The New York Mets’ big-headed, iconic mascot — Mr. Met — is going to help presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg play political hardball.

Mr. Met will be on hand ♛to pitch the op💫ening of the Bloomberg campaign’s new office at 39-36 Bell Boulevard in Bayside, Queens Thursday night.

While not an official endorsement from the Mets 🐼organization, Mr. Met is a beloved good luck charm who knows that Amazin’ things can happen in a political campaign as well as on the baseball diamond.

And if Bloomberg doesn’t get elected, diehard Mets fan might be interested in having the billionaire former three-term New York City mayor acquire the Amazins.

Recently, the deal for hedge funder Steve Cohen to buy the team appears to have unraveled.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg will pick up key endorseꦺments at the opening.

Queens lawma🍌ker Paul Vallone will be the first New York City Councilman to back Bloomberg’s candidacy, along with Queen state Assemblyman Clyde Vanel.

“The unprecedented prosperity we have enjoyed is a direct result of the decisions and leadership made by our previous Mayor Mike Bloomberg,” Vallone said.

“He knew prioritizing economic development would be critical to balance the needs of every citizen. He challenged every one of us to be our best so that our city could prosper and he will do the same as our President. That is why I am proud to stand with Mike Bloomberg for president.”

Vanel said, “As a community advocate, I admire his passion for causes like gun violence and clim༺ate change. As a business leader, I respect his ability to create thousands of jobs. And as an elected official, I appreciate his ability to get thin💦gs done.

“As the political climate in Washington continues to deteriorate,🐻 we need a preside𒁏nt like Mike who is able to bridge the divide and work on behalf of all Americans.”
