An off-duty NYPD cop was busted for allegedly bi🌳ting his wife as she brawled with his lover in the Brꦐonx, police said Saturday.
Jose Prada, 38,ꦐ was inside his Fordham apartment at about 9:30 p.m. Friday when his wife got into a fight with another woman he was seeing, officials said. It was not immediately clear why the three weܫre in the same apartment.
The officer tried to break up the brawl — and bit his wife on the hand during the sc🎀uffle, according to authorities.
Prada, who according to online records makes $59,401 annually with the NYPD, was 😼ar♍rested and charged with assault.
He has been a cop since 2015, records show.
“They’re fighting all the time here in the lobby, screaming at each other,” the building’s security guard told The Post. “Cops have been called multiple times to the apartment.”
But other workers said they were a “quiet family.”
“He’s a very nice person, so polite,” said a maintenance man who identified himself as Enrique. “He picks up his kids from school and everything.”
“They’re a nice family,” echoed one neighbor. “I just hope they’re OK for the sake of their kids.”
Prada’s wife declined to comment as she left the building Saturday alongside detectives.
