A 50-year-old Queens man stabbed his 96-year-old grandmother to death — decapitating her before killing himself on Thursday in a grisly murder-suicide, cops said.
George Catsi🅘cas knifed his grandmother, identified by sources as Ida Petruzella, in the chest multiple times, inside the home on 14th Place in Astoria at around 9:50 a.m.🌳, police said
Auth💟orities responded to the home after the killer’s mother heard screaming coming from the apartment below — where the man lived with his grandmother, police and sourc🐎es said.
Cops pronounced the pair dead at the s🅘cene. Petruzella was found decapitated and Catsicas had several self-inflicted stab🍸 wounds to the neck, sources said.
The killer was recently released from✤ Pennsꩲylvania state prison, police sources said.
Catsicas was last seen walking in the neighborhood on Thursday morning, when he kicked a woman🌟’s dog after she greeted him, according to police sources.
She called the cops at around 8:🅘20 a.m., but it was unclear whether a report was taken.
Cops were investigating Thursday afternoon.
