‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Season 3 premiere set on CBS All Access

Season 3 of “Star Trek: Discovery” will beam to CBS All Acc꧂ess on Oct. 15, the network announced on Monday.

The franchise i✱nstallment, which stars Sonequa Martin-Green as redeemed Commander Michael Burnham, will head into previously uncharted territory: Namely, a starship and crew la💞unched into a timeline 930 years into the future.

When the second season ended in April 2019, Martin-Green told The Post that the finale was “exhilarating,” borrowing a line from the original series’ star William Shatner, “We are boldly going where no one has gone before — come on!”

The surge forward — leaving behind the crew of the USS Enterprise, including Captain Pike (Anson Mount) and Spock (Ethan Peck) — opened up a strange, new world of possibilities and potential for facing new life and new civilizations. A Season 3 trailer, released at New York Comic Con last October, suggested that Starfleet was a “ghꦰost” of its former, idealistic self and that Burnham and his crew would be th✨e key to rediscovering its sense of purpose.

“This ship bears the name Discovery,” ꦅintoned Starfleet officer Saru (Doug Jones) in a voiceover. “Sh🅘e has carried us into the future, and it will be our privilege to make that future bright.”

The clip also offered glimpses of other crew members, including Sylvia Tilly (Mary Wiseman), Dr. Hugh Culber (Wilson Cruz), Paul Stamets (Anthony Rapp), Lt. Keyla Detmer (Emily Coutts), Lt. Joann Owosekun (O🔜yin Oladejo) and Philippa Georgiou (“Crazy Rich Asians” star Michelle Yeoh), new cast member David Ajala as Cleveland Booker.

The show on Season 3 at the end of February, according to a Twitter post by executive producer and director Olatunde Osunsanmi, but due to the ജcoronavirus pandemic♔.

CBS’ ever-expanding “Trek” universe already includes Sir Patrick Stewart’s “Star Trek: Picard,” which launched in January and was renewed for a second season. It’s a follow-up to the British actor’s role in the “Star Trek: The Next Generation” series and movies and includes cameos by “Trek” stars of bygone days, including “Star Trek: Voyager” actress Jeri Ryan as ex-Borg Seven of Nine.

In May, CBS an as-yet-untitled “Discovery” prequel starring Mount, who played Captain Pike, Peck as Spock and Rebecca Romijn as Number One.

The network is  a “Discovery” spinoff, reportedly titled “Star Trek: Section 31,” about the shadowy Starfleet intelligence organization run by Yeoh’s character Georgiou. Meanwhile, an animated comedy titled “Star Trek: Lower Decks” will premiere Aug. 6, and Nickelodeon another animated show, “Star Trek: Prodigy,” which will debut in 2021.
