The report said the ceremony was slated to be held at venues on Rodney Street and on Bedford Avenue, which are the locations of a Satmar synagogue and the sect’s United Talmudical Academy.
New York state issued an order barring the mass gathering, whic✨h would violate coronavirus restrictions, and it was served Friday night, officials said Saturday.
The state limit on wedding receptions 𓆏in New York City is 50 people.
A hearing on the order can be requested with the state Health Department, Elizabeth Garvey, Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s special counsel, said Saturday.
