Dramatic video shows shooting inside Circus Circus casino in Las Vegas
A frantic scene erupted at a Las Vegas casino when gunshots rang out during a brawl, sending Sin City revelers running for cover, wild footage shows.
The gunfire at the Adventuredome inside the Circus Circus casino on the Las Vegas Strip broke out at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday during a fight between a group of teens and young adults, police .
Dozens of guests can be seen milling about the casino’s enclosed theme park as a wild brawl breaks out, with several people throwing punches as witnesses look on, the footage shows.
The melee continues for several moments with multiple people throwing a flurry of punches at others until three gunshots are fired, sending witnesses running for safety, according to the clip.
Cops later found three people wounded by the gunfire. They were rushed to hospitals and were listed in stable condition later Saturday, police told the Review-Journal.
“This was not an active shooter and we do believe there is no further threat at this time to anyone else in the public,” Capt. Dori Koren told the outlet.
A suspect who not immediately identified was arrested about three hours after the incident, police said.
It’s unclear what sparked the fight, police . The subsequent shooting marked the first instance of gunfire on the Strip since early October, according to the outlet.
Additional cops had been deployed to the Strip on Saturday, as they have in recent weekends in an effort to curb crime, allowing them to respond immediately, the Sun reported.
“We’ve seen our crime problem start to decrease but not enough yet,” Koren told the Review-Journal. “That’s why we’re aggressively dealing with that problem … The sheriff’s made it a top priority to make sure that violent crime within Las Vegas is addressed immediately and in the most effective way possible.”
