A high-end steak 🌳house in North Jersey is at the center of dueling lawsuits — one alleging sexual harassment and abuse by the owner and another from the owner ac🔜cusing a staffer of an organized crime-like scheme.
Nine employees have signed onto a lawsuit filed last month in Sussex Superior Court alleging that the Mohawk House owner Steve Scro repeatedly grabbed and groped the female staffers’ butts while repeatedly telling them to “dress sexy” and show cleavage to “make more money.”
One all🥃eged in one instance he touched her “vaginal area in the process.”
♏The men suing Scro and the Sparta steakhouse also claim he smacked their butts.
One employee, James Kruzelnick, alleges in the lawsuit that Scro discriminated against him for his sexuality — ꧙♈calling him gay slurs and asking if had HIV.
Kruzelnick — one of the three defendants who have since been fired, which the suit claims to be retaliation — was sued earlier this year by the Mohawk Hous🌼e for allegedly concocting aꦰ scheme to post negative reviews about the restaurant.
The lawsuit filed in the spring claims the alleged plan to write unflattering post about the steak house online violated the state’s RICO Act, which has been historically used against the mob.
An attorney for Mohawk House said the allegations against Scro and the restaurant “were drafted to generate media coverage” and there was “no truth” to the claim, .
The staffers’ lawyer said the suit against Kruzelnick was “nothing more than Scro’s misguided attempt to bully and intimidate Mr. Kruzlenick into silence,” the outlet reported.
