OK, it’s all becoming clear now. Those first three episodes — jam-packed with mind-boggling time jumps — were just a tease.
Episode 4 of “WandaVision” — titled “We Interrupt This Program” — gave fans of the new Marvel Studios series the answers they’ve been craving.
“Episode 4 of #WandaVision: O-M-G!!! Here we are,” . “This show is incredible. Some pieces of the puzzle are assembling, some theories are confirmed, and I can’t wait to know more. Thank you for the journey, cast and crew.”
The revolves around the domestic life of married heroes Wanda Maximoff, a k a Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and Vision (Paul Bettany). Instead of a straight-forward action vehicle, the nine-episode series moves mysteriously through the decades, poking good-natured fun at c🍷lassic sitcoms such as “The Dick Van Dyke Show.”
The latest installment, however, gave viewers what “a big dose of Marvel Cinematic Universe reality.” And you can’t say Disney+ didn’t warn us, Thursday: “Everything is about to change.”

Sure, Episode 3 teased viewers a big hint 🎃when Wanda exiled Geraldine (Teyonah Par𝓀ris) out of the wholesome small town () for running her mouth about her twin brother Pietro — and his killer, Ultron.
Still, Geraldine’s true identity was not revealed.
Second spoiler alert! It’s finally known that Geraldine is actually Monica “Lieutenant Trouble” Rambeau, previously seen as a child in the Brie Larson-led retro-blockbuster “Captain Marvel.”
Episode 4 of “WandaVision” features a flashback reveal: Monica went missing five years ago, circa “Avengers: Infinity War,” as her mom Maria was battling cancer.
This marks the first example of those time jumps from “Avengers: Endgame” going horribly, tragically awry. Young Monica woke up to discover the world in a full-throttle freak out — and her mom was dead.
Despite the downbeat turn of events, fans in the Twitterverse couldn’t get enough of it:
Fans are shouting out FBI agent Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) and astrophysicist Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) as the MVPs of Episode 4, most of which they spent glued to a vintage TV set trying to figure out what the hell was going on in Wanda and Vision’s Westview world.
One meme-happy Twitter user even compared this week’s developments to an out-of-body experience.
Again, spoiler alert: Episode 4 also delivered one more big reveal.
The Sentient Weapon Observation and Response Division — a k a the intelligence agency known as SWORD — is finally depicted on-screen. Maria created the unit to track potential threats — and allies — from outer space, but in her absence, it’s morphed into “robotics, nanotech, AI and sentient weapons.”
Again, fans were freaking out about all of the possibly ominous plot points this could lead to in future episodes of “WandaVision.”
“OMG that was AMAZING!!” one stunned fan on Twitter. “Now we have to wait a week after THAT!! This should be illegal!!”
