Andrew Giuliani mulling run for New York governor

Get ready for Andrew versus Andrew.

Andrew Giuliani — a former Trump aide and the son of Rudy Giuliani — is considering a run for governor of New York next year, he t💙old The Postꦜ on Wednesday.

Giuliani would go toe-to-toe with Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the three-term Democrat currently mired in a torrent of scandals invo🃏lving sexual misconduct and his handling of nursing homes.

“Yes, I’m considering running for governor,” said the 35-year-old Republican. “There’s an opportunity for Republicans to take back New York. Absolutely.”

A Giuliani candidacy would pit two of New York’s most prominent political families against one another in the 2022 gubernatorial race.

Cuomo is the son of former Gov. Mario Cuomo, who was elected to three terms, while Giuliani’s father, Rudy, served as New York City mayor from 1994 to 2001.

Giuliani slammed Andrew Cuomo for his soft-on-crime politics and predicted that his impending tax hike on the wealthy woul﷽d further drive residents frꦰom the state.

“We’ve seen what Cuomo’s leadership has gotten New York — a mass exodus to Florida,” he said. “Cuomo and the state Assembly and Senate are encouraging residents and businesses to leave with these tax increases.

“We need a governor who is going to encourage people to come to New York — not leave.”

Un🦋der the Trump administration, Giuliani worked as a director of the Office of Public Liaison.

Th⭕e younger Giuliani said he would be meeting in Albany soon with state GOP Chairman Nick Langworthy and county Republican leaders from across the state. He was inspired ꦉto consider running after GOP donors asked him to step up, he said.

The wannabe pol also said should he run, he♐ would be reaching for the “Rudy Giuliani playbook” — a nod to his father’s zero-tolerance stance on crime and reputation of keeping taxes and spending down.

“It worked for New York City,” Andrew Giuliani s🍨aid.

He also panned his potential incumbent opponent for selling out to left-wing lawmakers when it comes to the yꦰet-to-be-approved state budget to avoid get✃ting impeached.

“He will do anything to hang on to power and he’s just proven that,” he said.
