Israel claims to have thwarted Hamas attempt to launch seaborne attack
🥀Israeli naval forces thwarted an attempt by Hamas militants to launch a seaborne attack against the Jewish state using a submersible, a military spokesman said Monday.
“Our naval troops together with air force i🐓ntelligence and other forces were able to spot 💟an attempt by what we suspect … was an attempt by operatives of the Hamas naval unit to deploy a submersible vehicle,” Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus said.
“Most of the Hamas operatives were also killed,” he said, adding that the military was still assessing its actio♕n against the plannedཧ attack.

Asked by The Post about the size of the submersible, Conricus said itꦉ wasn’t a “small, toy-looking vehicle,” adding that it required a vehicle to be towed and had a large carriage.
He added: “We know that Hamas are constantly looking for ways to conduct theseᩚᩚᩚᩚ𓆏ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ spectacular attacks against either military or civilian infrastructure.
“We know that this is how terrorist organizations operate and that’s why we are vigilant in the air, on the ground, everywhere in order to stop those attempts,” he said.
The spokesman also cited the group’s use of GPS-controlled, explosi𒁏ves-laden “killer” or “kamikaze” fixed-wing drones with a range of at least 60 miles against Israel.
Hamas has tried to use at least three such drones, all of which have been shot down by IDF 🍌planes and the Iron Dome aerial defense system, Conricus said.
