Julio Jones, Russell Wilson discuss teaming up on Seahawks amid trade talks

The Seahawks, Titans and Rams are three teams the Falcons have discussed a potential Julio Jones trade with, according to multiple reports.

that Jones and Seattle star quarterback Russell Wilson have discussed teaming up. The Jets own the Seahawks’ 2022 first-round pick, something the Falcons have been seeking in return for Jones.

During the insider Mike Garafolo, who reported the Titans and Rams talked with Atlanta, said he believes Jones won’t get moved right now, but does expect it to happen before the season.

“It’s pretty clear to everybody that both sides are going to be saying goodbye sometime in the near future,” he said.

Jones of course told Shannon Sharpe on Fox Sports’ “Undisputed” he wanted out because he wants to win. One issue with the Rams landing Jones is they don’t have a first-round pick the next two years. While there are rumors of the 49ers looking to get involved, Garafolo was doubtful of that possibility, particularly since San Francisco just used draft capital in future drafts to move up for Trey Lance in this most recent draft.

“I believe based on my conversations with those in the know this is probably something that leads up to training camp, and then at that point the Falcons take the best offer they possibly have,” he said. “I just don’t sense that it’s imminent right now.”
