Hope Solo postpones Hall of Fame induction to enter rehab after DUI arrest

Former US women’s soccer star Hope Solo announced Friday that she is postponing her induction into the National Soccer Hall of Fame to enter an in-patient rehab facility for alcohol abuse after she was arrested for a DUI with her children in the car last month.

“I have contacted the Hall of Fame and respectfully requested a postponement of my Hall of Fame induction ceremony to 2023. I will be voluntarily entering an in-patien༺t alcohol treatment program to address my challenges with alcohol,” Solo on Friday.

“At this time, my energie༺s and focus are totally directed to my health, healing and taking care of my family. I want to thank the Hall of Fame for their support 𝔍and for understanding my decision.”

Solo, 40, was arrested on March 31 after cops found her passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle in North Carolina with her 2-year-old twins inside, pol🍰ice said.

A passerby noticed the former Olympic goalkeeper asleep in the driver’s seat for over an hour with the car engine running and th♎e two children in the backseat, according to an arrest warrant. Solo refused a field sobriety test and a blood test was taken instead.

She was elected to the U.S. Soccer Hall of Fame in Ja💦nuary. The induction ceremony had been scheduled for Mayไ 21.

She is expected to appear in court on June 28.
