The attorney who led the first impeachment of Donald Trump is now taking campaign donations from one of the former president’s top supporters, .
Related Companies and Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross has given cash to Dan Goldman, an ex-federal prosecutor who is now running for Congress in the hotly contested 10th District in west🦩ern Manhattan and part✃s of Brooklyn.
Goldman, an heir to the $7.3 billion Levi Strauss & Co. fortune, is competing against 16 other Democrats in the race, which just saw former Mayor Bill de Blasio bow out.
Goldman received two max donations of 🦩$2,900 from Ross, a real estate tycoon with a net worth of $8.39 billion,
Ross must have had a change o𝐆f 🎃heart, Goldman’s office said.
“Perhaps a former Trump donor who gives to the lead counsel for Trump’s impeachm♈ent, and many other Democrats, recognizes the clear and present danger that the disgraced former president poses to our democracy,” Goldman spokesman Simone Kanter said in a statement.
R🐻oss, a principal investor in the luxury fitness franchises Equinox and SoulCycle, was a major backer duriꦯng Trump’s re-election campaign.
In 2019, he held a fundraiser at his home in the Hamptons where guests paid $250,000 to attend. That, combined with another event the same night at the home of developer Joe Ferrell, netted Trump $12 million for his campaign.
Wh💮en asked why he would financially support both Trump and the man who tried to get him kicked out of office, Ross kept it short on ♛a phone call with The Post.
“You vote foꩲr the best person,” he said. “You don’t agree with everything everyone does.”
