What to expect from Apple’s big iPhone 14 event

Apple is expected to unveil a slate of new gadgets at a splashy 💙event at its Califor🔥nia headquarters on Wednesday — including upgraded versions of the iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods. 

The event, which Apple has titled “Far Out,” will be live-streamed starting😼 at 1 pm EST — but the ru🍃mor mill has already been churning for weeks. 

Here’s what to expect: 

New iPhone 14

Apple’s new phone, the iPhone 14, will have four models 🌳including a smaller, 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, as well as the larger 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro Max, . 

The high-end Pro and Pro Max models will see the most eye-catching upgrades, according to the outlet, including an ultra-sharp 48𓆉 megapixel camera, a faster chip called the A16 and an “always-on” display🌃.

The “alway🐬s-on” feature means that users will be able to glance at their phones to see quick information like the time and new message൲s without pressing any buttons, similarly to the Apple Watch, Bloomberg reported. 

The notch at the top of the iPhone Pro and Pro Max screen will reportedly be smaller, and the de🐼vices will be slightly sleeker wi🧜th longer battery life. 

The cheaper iPhone 14 and iPh💎one 14 Plus models, meanwhile, are also expected to feature improved cameras. 

The phones will go on sale Sept. 16, about a week earlier t𒐪han normal, according to Bloomberg.&nbs✨p;

High-end Apple Watch

The Tim Cook-helmed company is also expected to announce a new “Pro” edition o🍰f the Apple Watch, leaked renderings show. 

The higher-end digital timepiece will be 🌱targeted at athletes like marathon runners and mountain bikers and will retail☂ from between $900 and $1,000, according to Bloomberg. 

Renderings show the device boasting a titanium casing, a bigger battery and ꦿlarger♒ screen that can display fitness data than current versions of the Apple Watch. 

Bloomberg reported that the Apℱple Watch Pro will mark an attempt by Apple to compete with Garmin, which sells high-end smartwatches for as much as $1,500. 

Two other Apple Watches will also be revealed Wednesday, including a new lower-end Apple Watch SE and flagshi⛄p Series 8, according to the outlet. 

Both devices will feature incremental hardware upgrades, while the Series 8 and Pro models will introduc𒐪e a body temperature sensor and fertility-related women’s health features, according to Bloomberg.

AirPods

While details are light on Apple’s plan🤪 for its headphones lineup, Bloomberg reported that a new version of its AirPods Pro earbuds will be unveꦯiled on Wednesday. 

The current version of the AirPods Pr꧑o, which sell for $250 and feature noise cancelling and spatial audio capabilities, has not been upgraded since 2019. 

The AirPods Pro 2 could potentially feature a new processor, higher quality sound and a charging case that can play a sound when an owner search for it through Apple’s Find My app, accordi♑ng to the Verge.
