Keanu Reeves reveals dream Marvel superhero role

If there’s one thing on Keanu Reeves’ bucket list — it’s to fulfill his childhood dream of playing his favorite superhero on the big screen.

During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, the ‘John Wick’ actor, 58, revealed which character he would portray as he spoke on behalf of his younger self.

“Ten-year-old me would want to — I think he’d probably want to be Ghost Rider,” the Canadian actor said.

Reeves referred to Marvel Comic’s motorcycle-riding tough guy known as Johnny Blaze. Nicolas Cage took on the title role in the 2007 film and in its sequel in 2011, which was not a part of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. There are currently no plans to reboot the films.

Reeves linked his obsession with comic books to his “nerdy” side as a child after Kimmel suggested he, indeed, was a nerd.

“I might’ve lost my nerd card when I got older because when I was younger — I was pretty freaking nerdy with the comics,” Reeves said.

Kimmel then made a point on the show that since the ‘Matrix’ actor is now in his 50s, he’s really a “nerd.”

A laughing Reeves finally admits, “Alright, man, I’ll be a nerd!”

In 2019, speculation circul🌺ated surrounding Reeves joining the Marvel Universe when Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige hinted at the actor playing in a Marvel film when he figures out the “right way to do it,” according to .

Reeve💙s also discussed his plans to become a US citizen and his decision to move from Toronto.

“You’re a Canadian, and you’ll always be a Canadian, but is that not something you’re interested in, being a U.S. citizen?” Kimmel said.

“Absolutely. Yeah, man, why not?” the actor says, later joking he would send President Joe Biden a copy of Reeves’ comic book, BRZRKR, to speed up his naturalization process.

The 12-issue comic book series BRZRKR was✅ written by Reeves, and tells the story of an immortal warrior named  who fights his way through the ages.
