Eagles continue to load up on more Georgia Bulldogs after 2023 NFL Draft trade

The Eagles love their Bulldogs.

Philadelphia h𒊎as drafted a whopping three players from the University of Georgia — defensive lineman Jalen Carter, linebacker Nolan Smith and cornerback Kelee Ringo — through round four of the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Eagles traded a third-round pick in 2024 to the Texans to move into the third round to take Ringo, the top players available on Day 3 according to The Post’s Ryan Dunleavy, at No. 105 overall.

That tri🙈o will join defensivꦛe lineman Jordan Davis and linebacker Nakobe Dean, who the Eagles took during the 2022 NFL Draft.

All five players were part of t𒅌he dominant defensive unit that helped the Bulldogs take home the 2021 National Championship.

That team allowed just🐼 10.2 points and 2𝓡68.5 yards per game.

And the Eagles didn’t stop there.

On the offensive side, they traded a fourth and seve🐼nth-round pick to the Lions for ex-Bu𝕴lldog running back D’Andre Swift and a seventh-round pick.

The Carter pick, whom the Eagles trad🌠ed up to No. 9 for desp🦩ite off-field concerns, was a hit among Eagles brass.

Dean and Davis took to social media to celebrate 🍒their old teammate joining them once again.

Carter, too, glowe⛄d about playing with a pair of ex-B🏅ulldogs.

“That’s an exciting moment for me,” Carter said after the Eagles took him at No. 9, “Them guys were the leaders on the 2021 team and I just know if I got any questions, I can ask them and also ask anybody else on the team.”

During a , Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said 💧pairing players with their college teammates isn’t an 𓂃accident.

“That’s a big thing when you go away to college and you know somebody there,” Sirianni said. “That helps. When you come into a profession and you know somebody, I know that helps and these guys know a lot of guys here.”

Carter, Smith and Rꦰingo join an Eagles defense that allowed 179.8 passing yards (fewest in the NFL) and 301.5 yards total yards per game (second-fewest) last season.
