NYC visual arts school reviewing professor Shellyne Rodriguez’s employment after machete threat

The School of Visual Arts is reviewing Manhattan professor Shellyne Rodriguez’s employment after she threatened a Post reporter with a machete and went viral for cursing out anti-aborti▨on students at another college.

The unhinged arts professor is under investigation by the NYPD after she was filmed holding the blade to the veteran reporter’s neck while threatening to “chop” him up outside her Bronx apartment Tuesday.

“SVA is aware of the incidents involving one of our faculty members, Shellyne Rodriguez, who is not currently teaching any courses at the College,” a spokesperson for the private school told The Post on Wednesday.

“We are assessing to determine any potential next steps.”

Rodriguez, who is a faculty member within the private art school’s BFA Fine Arts Department, wasn’t scheduled to teach any classes over the summer — even before the incidents this month.

Rodriguez was fired from Hunter College, where she worked as an adjunct art pro🐼fessor, just hours a🎃fter the machete incident unfolded.

“Hunter College strongly condemn𝓡s the unacceptable a💧ctions of Shellyne Rodriguez and has taken immediate action,” school spokesman Vince Dimiceli said Tuesday.

Tuesday’s ordeal unfolded when the Post reporter knocked on Rodriguez’s door to ask for an interview after footage of her cursing out pro-life students at Hunter College earlier this month went viral.

“Get the f–k away from my door, or I’m gonna chop you up with this machete,” the manic professor screamed before barging out and holding the blade to the reporter’s neck.

After the reporter and a photographer exited the apartment building, Rodriguez — still armed with the machete — chased them down the street and kicked one of them in the shins.

“If I see you on this block one more f–king ti🅠me, you’re gonna …,” Rodriguez said.

“Get the f–k off the block! Get the f𒁃–k out of here, yo!”

Rodriguez could face assault and otherꦰ charges over the frightening altercation, law enforcement sources said.
