Disgraced Theranos fraudster Elizabeth Holmes seen for first time in prison
Disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes was seen on the inside for the first time since reporting to a Te🌊xas prison earlier this week to serve out her 11-year sentence for wire fraud.
The fraudster and mother of two, 39, checked into Federal Prison Camp Bryan, a low-security federal facility for women just northwest of Houston on Tuesday💛.
The petite blonde had a penchant for wearing sharp power suits, black turtlenecks and vibranꦬt red lipstick as she built health technology company Tꦓheranos into a $9 billion behemoth at its peak.
But🍃 as federal inmate 24965-111, Holmes was spotted makeup-free and wearing glasses, khaki sweat pants, a dark brown T-shirt and a wedding ring in photos .
Sources told the outlet♓ that Holmes ♌is in isolation and has appeared nervous in her first days at the facility.
Holmes, who lived in a $9 mi🅷llion mansion in San Diego, will now be expected to share four-person bunk rooms at the prison, where inmates are woken up at 6 a.m. for food service duties or factory jobs, ear🐻ning between 12 cents and $1.15 per hour.
A former inmate claimed this week that guards regularly monitor showers to crack down on sexual encounters between the inmates. Someಌ guards have also been disciplined for having sex with the inmates, she said.
Lynn Espejo, who spent n🅠early two years at Bryan Federal Prison Camp from 2018 until early 2020, made the shocking allegation to The Post that male guards checked on inmates in the showers — and claimed some𒉰 of them were “having sex with women” inmates.
“You’re in the shower and the guard [could] come i🌸n there to see what you’re up ♛to,” Espejo told The Post.
Holm🅠es arrived at the Texas prison Tuesday to serve her sentence after being conv𝓡icted on four counts of wire fraud.
She has two young children, including one she welcomed earlier this year, with partner Billy Evan൩s.
