The Issue: President Biden’s new program to cancel $39 billion in student-loan debt for 800,000 borrowers.
In an attempt to placate the left wing of his party and buy votes, President Biden is attempting to cancel billions of dollars of student-loan debt, even though the Supreme Court has ruled that he lacks the power to do so (“Treating court with contempt,” Edi🧔꧙torial, July 18).
Such a cancellation will not only fuel inflation but꧅ also transfer the debts of middle-class borrowers to working-class Americans who cho🉐se not to attend college.
Why should a bartender or waitress pay the law-school debt of someone else? Why should a person who chose to serve our country in the military hav♛e to pay the college debt of someone who chose not to♊ serve?
This debt transfer is nothing more tꦑhan a shameless bid to buy votes.
Both I and my son paid off our student loans. I have no desire to repay Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Coღrtez’s student loa♔ns.

Biden has s💮pit in the eyes of the Supreme Court justices who ruled that his self-proclaimed edict that would forgive tuition costs from millions of students was unconstitutional.
Multibillion-dollar decisions like🦩 that, which impact millions of borroജwers, can only be made by Congress and not unilaterally by a president. That is a fair and accurate reading of the Constitution.
No sooner did the co🦩urt make its decree than Biden decided to supersede the court in order to reward his constituents by announcing a different payoff scheme to forgive billions in tuition obligations.
This order is no more worthy tha𝓀n was the first๊. It, too, will quickly be found unconstitutional.
America i𒐪s then left with a pre🍃sident with diminished faculties who may try again and again until someone tells him to stop. Not unlike training a dog who defecates in every corner of one’s home.

It’s not fair that taxpayers a♛re going to have to pay for Biden’s student-loan forgiveness program.
Those of us who worked hard to pay off our loans will now have to pay for others with our taxes. If that’s the case, ⛄then all of us who ha🤪ve paid back their loans should be reimbursed.
He has no respect for the Supreme Court’s decision in this c🤪ase.
This is just like the reparat𝓀ions programs that will require taxpayers to pay for something they had nothing to do with. When does it stop?

He has put himself above the law.
