NYPD seeks young men accused of hurling construction barrels at cop during Union Square riot
The NYPD is searching for two young men who allegedly assaulted a cop during Twitch star Kai Cenat’s chaotic PS5 giveaway-turned-riot in Union Square Friday.
The department on Tuesday released photos of two males wanted for allegedly hurling consâtruction barrels at a 59-year-old cop, sâtriking him in the head and body at about 3:45 p.m.
The officer sufferâed multiple wounds including a head injury and both ran off.
The two suspects are the latest delinquents involved in the massive melee to𤪠be wanted bđły police.
On Sunday, cops announced they were looking for eight ęŚbaby-faceâd teens caught on camera trashing a police car during Friday’s mayhem.
Officers already arrested 66 people after the social media star’s giveaway created complete — and often violent — chaos.
Cenat, who has 20 million social media followers, was arrested himself and charged with inciting a riot and unlawful assembly — but was freed on a desk-appearance ticket.
A public relations company representing thđ ˇe streamer apologized for the wild crowd.
A witness told The Post that Union Square looked like a warzone as crowds of teensđ and young adults took over the park Friday in hopes of scoring a free PS5 from Cenat.
