The “Mean Girls” Broadway musical is coming to theaters next year, reported Friday.
The Paramount project was originally intended to stream on Paramount+ but will now be released on🅷 the big theaters on Jan. 12, 2024.
Adapted from the 2018 Broadw🌞ay production, Reneé Rapp will reprise her breakout role in the upcoming film as Regina George.
Last month, Rapp in that production “woul🃏d to me about my body.”
She claimed the remarks a♔llegedly worsened her eating disorderဣ.
“Mean Girls” stage and screen writer Tina Fey will continue on as Ms. Norbury and “Saturday Night Live” alum Tim Meadows will return as Principal Duval.
The new movie’s cast also stars Angourie Rice, Auli’i Cravalho, Jaquel Spivey, Jenna Fischer, Busy Philipps, Avantika, Mahi Alam, Christopher Briney, Bebe Wood, Ashley Park, Connor Ratliff and Jon Hamm.

The original “Mean Girls” movie starring Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Fey, and Meadows premiered in April 2004.
Fey wrote the screenplay based on the book “Queen Bees and Wannabes” by Rosalind Wiseman.
The movie grossed 🃏$130.1 million worldwide and has since become a cult classic. A sequel was made in 2011 w♈ith a new lead cast.
