Flight attendant goes viral for barring woman from boarding after doing drunken cartwheels

A Southwest Airlines flight attendant is going viral for a video showing her barring a passenger from boarding after seeing her doing drunken cartwheels in the airport.

The video — shot by the cartwheeling passenger and her partner — shows the flight attendant standing guard at the door as the couple argues with her in front of another airline employee.

“You can walk away. You can’t come on this aircraft … that’s because you guys are jeopardizing the safety of this aircraft right now,” the crew member says, adding that she saw the woman performing cartwheels in the terminal.

”You mean the cartwheels I was doing with the children that I met on the flight?” the woman asks.

“As I was watching you drink your alcohol,” the attendant replies.

“I work with children. I’ve been doing cartwheels and back bends,” the woman tells the cabin crew member, who refuses to give in to her slightly slurred entreaties.

The woman also claims she is sober and demands a sobriety test.

“You need to get out of here. You cannot step any closer to me,” she says. “If you step any closer to me we’re going to have problems,” the flight attendant says menacingly.

“You are flipping all over the ground, you’re loud, you want attention,” she continues, adding that the woman reeks of alcohol. “The whole entire crew saw it and all of us are in agreement that you cannot come on here.”

“I did have a glass of wine,” the woman admits.

“Anyone who is exhibiting signs of being intoxicated is not allowed to come onto an aircraft,” the employee says sternly, adding that the woman is incapable of following instructions.

“I have kids back home that I’m waiting to get back to,” the passenger argues.

Another airline employee stood by during the testy exchange. Reddit

“Well, that’s unfortunate,” the flight attendant deadpans.

When the woman’s partner asks what makes her an expert about signs of intoxication, the crew member says she doesn’t have to be an ”expert.”

“I have guidelines that we follow in our manual,” she says before also warning the couple about shooting video of her.

“Recording is against F-A-R,” she says, prompting the man to ask her to “define F-A-R.”

“Federal Aviation Regulations,” she answers without hesitation about the rules prescribed by the Federal Aviation Administration.

“They say that you have to have my permission to be filming me,” she says.

“I want law enforcement to deal with both of them and I want that to be deleted — immediately,” she tells the airline worker standing nearby.

“I am not intoxicated!” the woman insists.

“Your inability to walk away is saying that you are,” the flight attendant replies with a smirk, nodding her head, as the video ends.

It was unclear what actions were taken against the pair, if any, after the stand-off.

Southwest told The Post in an email that “Federal Aviation Regulations prohibit airlines from transporting any Customer who appears to be intoxicated.”

The old video was originally , but has now gone viral after being shared by an .

It has now garnered more than 13 million views on X, where users voiced support for the Southwest employee.

“They were super drunk so I don’t blame her. Liability,” one user wrote.

“Good for the flight attendant. She handled herself really well,” another said.

“Handled like a pro! She was civil and assertive at all times. Safety of passengers is paramount,” a third added.

One user mocked the woman.

“Slurring her words: ‘do I seem intoxicated to you right now?’ Lmaooooo,” he wrote.
